Dear Subscriber First Name,

As summer weather warms up our part of the hemisphere, we’re looking forward to the adventures and downtime the upcoming few months will bring.

Last issue, we considered how unapologetically experiencing joy is both an act of resistance and the way forward. One way to help define what “joy” looks like for you is to ask, what’s your ideal summer look like?

For me, I envision spaciousness—literally and figuratively. I see open terrain and the sea. I see exploration through travel, new activities, and digging deeper into my curiosities. I see meals and meaningful conversation shared with good company.

Joy can also come from who and how we love, how we identify, and how we present ourselves. How do these elements take shape for you today, and how do you feel? How do they take shape for others in your life, and are you giving them the support they need?

This summer, I hope you make some time to slow down, reflect, and reset. I also hope you make time to just have fun, too! Let’s set the tone. What are you looking forward to?
