Been trying to read more about the movie industry & shifting dynamic of power of what movies are being made/where (my company is really into films, so trying to educate myself to join in on the conversation).

Any kind really! But my quick fix at home as been buying those Oden packs from the Japanese market & adding in my own noodles/veggies at home!

3. Terrace House

The best thing to watch as I eat my homemade hot pot! A lot of my meals are inspired by watching this show. I also can't help but feel these giddy/high school-esque feelings while watching this show.

1. The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck, M.D.

A new psychology of love, traditional values, and spiritual growth. I'm really into psychology, health, spirituality, and non-fiction books of that nature - a bit of a self-help book junkie at times :p I also have a habit of underlining parts that I find particularly interesting while I read—less for later reference and more to emphasize the points to myself while I'm reading them—anyone else do this?

2. Matcha Lattes with oat or coconut milk

I’m usually a black coffee or green tea person (straight, no milk or sugar), but I've been really into the matcha + plant milk combo lately. I recently purchased a mechanical whisk (the traditional wooden whisk was way more aesthetic but not effective - or maybe I don't have sufficient patience haha) and now homemade matcha lattes are a pretty regular part of my mornings. 

3. Killing Eve Season 2

Love a good psychological thriller. This one scratches my Law and Order SVU itch, but with deeper and more interesting character development. I also love that it features two women who are very different but share an elusive connection and chemistry.

1. Athleisure

I've been loving all things comfort and athleisure wear lately. Leggings, baggy tees, sweatshirts - choosing a life of athleisure is like settling into a pile of warm laundry, and I'm here to stay. 

2. Breakfast in the AM

I've never been a breakfast person, but since switching over to breakfast before 10AM, my metabolism has been the most steady it's ever been in my life, and it's great. My go-to lately is steel cut oats w/ oat milk, honey, and cinnamon (yum!). And here's a tip - cook a huge batch of oatmeal on a Sunday (steel-cut takes 20 - 30 min) and you'll have breakfast and (hopefully) great poo's the rest of the week. 

3. Positive affirmations

I mentioned this in Episode 55—one tangible takeaway from therapy that has actually worked for me is leaving a piece of paper up on my bathroom mirror and jotting down some real gratitude and self-love talk. If you're someone that tends to have negative self-talk, be sure to try this out. And if you have a significant other, have them join in on the fun as well. It'll feel like you're writing little notes to each other—connected even when you're apart.
